വൃത്തങ്ങൾ Learning outcomes • വൃത്തകേന്ദ്രം,ആരം,ഞാൺ എന്നിവയെക്കുറിച്ച് മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നു. • വൃത്തകേന്ദ്രം അറിയാത്ത വൃത്തത്തിന്റെ കേന്ദ്രം കണ്ടെത്താൻ സാധിക്കുന്നു. Notes • വൃത്തം (Circle): ഒരു ബിന്ദുവിൽ നിന്ന് തുല്യ അകലത്തിലുള്ള ബിന്ദുക്കളുടെ സഞ്ചാരപഥമാണ് വൃത്തം. (A circle is the path traced by a point that is equidistant from a fixed point.) • കേന്ദ്രബിന്ദു (Centre): വൃത്തത്തിന്റെ മധ്യഭാഗത്തുള്ള സ്ഥിരബിന്ദുവാണ് കേന്ദ്രബിന്ദു. (The fixed point at the center of the circle is called the center.) • ആരം (Radius): കേന്ദ്രത്തിൽ നിന്ന് വൃത്തത്തിലെ ഏതെങ്കിലും ബിന്ദുവിലേക്കുള്ള അകലമാണ് ആരം. (The distance from the center to any point on the circle is the radius.) • ഞാണ് (Chord): വൃത്തത്തിലെ ഏതെങ്കിലും രണ്ട് ബിന്ദുക്കളെ യോജിപ്പിക്കുന്ന നേർരേഖയാണ് ഞാണ്. (A chord is a line segment connecting two points on the circumference of a circle.) • വൃത്തത്തിലെ ഏതു ഞാണിന്റെയും ലംബസമഭാജി വൃത്തകേന്ദ്രത്തിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോകും.
